![]() Of course, this gains the extra value of being a high priority target you absolutely have to kill, but the initial burst isn’t anything good, and a 4 health minions shouldn’t be hard to kill so late into the game.Īll in all, I don’t think that a regular deck would like to play it. For example – in case of Hunter, on turn 7, this + Hero Power is the same as Nightblade (a card you probably don’t even remember) + Hero Power. But, in both cases, it would cost 7 mana to play this + HP, which might not make it as powerful as it seems. The first one would be a 4 damage Hero Power that can target anything and the second one would be 6 damage Hero Power. Two good examples are Baku Mage and Baku Hunter. It might, just like the Blackwald Pixie, work okay in Baku decks. I could see this as a one-of tech if the meta really demands it (in other words, if you need a huge healing burst in the late game), but I don’t think it will see play outside of that. You can theoretically go for this + Prince Taldaram + Hero Power for 12 damage and 24 healing, but again, that’s a two card combo that works only after you play your 10 mana card that you might not draw until really late into the game. But so what if it’s completely useless until you turn into your DK? And if you turn into your DK you’re already in a good spot to win? You rarely need more healing once you can heal every turn with your Hero Power. Yes, the card also works on Death Knights. Which means that those three are the most likely classes that would want to use it. So, it only works positively for Priest, Hunter, and Mage (and negatively for Warlock). If a Hero Power doesn’t do damage or healing, it’s not affected by this. No, it’s not, because it only affects HERO POWERS and not all cards.Īnother key is “damage and healing”. There were some cards I was considering adding (like Spellbreaker) and some I was considering taking out (like Shadowflame).I’ve seen some people making this mistake already and seeing this is a better version of Prophet Velen. Like I said earlier, this deck likely won’t beat Cubelock or Baku Hunter (Although I have beaten both even and odd Paladin), but it generally works and is a lot of fun to do an unnecessary amount of face damage for the win. So far, I’ve had some success without the full combo, by doing things like dealing 6 and healing 12 over a few turns with just one Automaton. Rin, the First Disciple is an alternate win-con, but unfortunately the Skull of the Man'ari kind of works against her by summoning Azari and losing the battlecry. ![]() It hasn’t happened to me yet, but I rue the day. ![]() A silenced Cube or Automaton can mess things up big time. Of course, silence can really hurt this game plan. The following turn, play Clockwork Automaton and eat it with Carnivorous Cube.įinally, kill the cube with a Dark Pact, Shadowflame, or with combat damage, copy a Clockwork Automaton with Faceless Manipulator, and go face for a minimum of 24 damage (and 48 healing!), depending on how many other Clockwork Automaton‘s and other minions you have out to attack with. This will summon all of your Voidlord‘s, Voidwalker‘s, and Despicable Dreadlord‘s, giving you some solid defense. ![]() The idea is to control the game with cards like Defile, Hellfire, and Lesser Amethyst Spellstone to set up for the combo. The deck’s shell is really similar to Cubelock, so before you say “Why don’t you just give up on these stupid combos and play that instead?”, know that you should play Cubelock competitively, and you should play this deck for fun. This is a fun combo deck that buffs Bloodreaver Gul'dan‘s hero power (3 damage lifesteal) with Clockwork Automaton. ![]()
